Interferometric SAR applications

Subsidence monitoring/mapping:

  • Persistent Scatterers (PS) Interferometry technique (mm precision on a set of points)
  • Differential interferometry (D-InSAR) technique (cm precision on a whole surface of the target area)
  • InSAR DEM generation

Coherence change:

  • Coherence Change Detection (highlightning of the mm-scale changes happened between image acquisitions {e.g. traces of tires on a dry sand})

Digital elevation models

Processing and analysis of terrain datasets using ERDAS Imagine, Envi, QGIS, ArcGIS Desktop or command line tools. We can produce features like elevation, contour lines, slope, aspect, viewshed, flowlines and others, perform viewshed analysis and convert DEM into desirable format.

Besides that we can generate digital elevation/surface models from satellite imagery (SAR or optical stereo pairs).

Training courses

We have our own portal for online courses, available at, based on the popular learning management system called Moodle. We develop and conduct courses on remote sensing of the Earth, geographic information systems, and the application of these technologies for solving different cases (in Russian and English). Our courses are based on open source software and public satellite imagery.
